Iva Franks-Singer

lva started her acting career before she was even aware of it, a native Californian. She lived in central California in her teens and early 20’s doing local commercials and radio skits. Some ending up on the Dr. Demento Show. Her professional career started in 1987 when she moved to Los Angeles to work on the ambulance and studied to be a paramedic. Her goal was aerial search and rescue. Her brother suggested she take an improv class with Bobbie Shaw to release some stress from her job as an EMT. Once she did, she fell in love with acting and never looked back. A talented artist by nature, coming from a family of artist, this seemed to be a natural fit for Iva. She is 6th generation American, her great grandfather a famous musician with the John Phillips Sousa Band, Grandmother an oil painter and most of her aunts are artist. She is the youngest of four brothers whom are all martial artist, mastering the art of Chinese style Shou Shu Kung Fu. Iva has studied in every genre of acting from improv to stage with over 14 years of training. She has worked along side of great actors like James Caan, Will Smith, Josh Duhamel, Chris Cooper, Mark Harmon and many more. Iva is involved in victims rights and is on the board of directors of Jodi’s Law, a victims rights advocacy group. She is also on the board of directors for the Alliance Of Women Filmmakers /Los Angeles Womens International Film Festival. As well she is a strong advocate for animal rights.
